The beauty is in the eye of the beholder

We had a very interesting assignment: watch a few videos about women’s appearance.

It was not a surprise for me that different ages had different idols, and different body types were considered as beautiful.

Now, I think, we should accept all the bodies.

I liked the video about make up in different countries in different times. I was shocked to learn that a unibrow was popular among Greek women! They glued fur of animals if they didn’t have it naturally on their faces. So weird!

Also I liked the Egypt make up, I think it is still trendy and chic, because it makes the sight piercing.

And the most touching for me was the last video with comparing two portraits of the person: the first her own description, the second one — the description that gives a stranger. It shows that we judge ourselves too much and our imperfections are beautiful.🤍
