From the kindergarten we are told that sport is important for people. We had our PE classes at school and we have them now at the university. But I never was a fan of sports: I hate pain, I’m afraid of hurting myself and I can’t watch people suffering. That’s why I think that athletes have superpowers, strong spirit and body.
So today I’ve learned about some new sport games: netball and lacrosse.
Netball is a ball game like basketball, but it’s only for women. The objective of a game is to score more goals than the opposition, just like in basketball too. Only the baskets are replaced by rings that had nets ( I’ve checked the history of the netball, I think there’s no difference between the baskets now)

What about lacrosse? For me it’s a mix of hockey and basketball, though Lacrosse is based on games played by various Native American communities as early as 1100 AD.

Funny picture :) People look like they are going to catch butterfly!

Lacrosse is for both men and women. The main difference is equipment, women do not need a lot of protection, because “the game is played outdoors and does not allow body contact but does allow stick to stick contact”.
In lacrosse they have: goalies, attackmen, midfielders, defensemen. Sticks and balls. Helmets and protective pads.
I think they look funny. I watched some videos and I could not stop thinking about catching butterflies. You should imagine this! Go watch some matches! :D
