Real or fake

Studying literature at school, I ran into a problem: many films based on classic novels do not correspond to the text. I could not watch them if I needed to visualize some scenes from the books, but anyway watching those movies was fascinating, because I understood the sourse of inspiration of the directors. The question is, should films correspond with the original at all?

Movies are primarily a form of entertainment that allows us to escape from reality and immerse ourselves in different worlds. Therefore, most filmmakers tend to lean towards their own vision rather than truth. It is fine with me until the purpose of the film is entertaining and art itself. Such movies can stimulate our imagination and provide us with new perspectives.

It is essential to understand that some movies can show harmful stereotypes or inaccuracies about certain events, even if we are talking about history films and biography films. That’s why we need to critically analyze movies and do the research before jumping to conclusions. Hovewer, I think that films claiming truth must rely more heavily on reality than on a beautiful picture.
