It’s a wonderful life

Remember, George: no man is a failure who has friends.

Movies… I can’t say that I watch them a lot, because it’s hard to get back to reality when they end. I feel like I live another life with characters and I always cry if the film is touching. So it is, “It’s a wonderful life”.

The film that makes you call your nearest and dearest and say you love them. The film that makes you feel grateful for all that you have. The film that shows how important is life of every person. No man is an island.

“It’s a wonderful life” will definitely become one of the films that I watch to catch this New Year/ Christmas mood.

My favorite New Year film now is “Yolki 2” (Ёлки 2), a modern Russian film. It becomes a new tradition — to watch all parts of “Yolki” on the TV during preparation for the celebration.

The film’s plot revolves around 12 cities in Russia.I love all the plot twists and touching love stories in this film… My favorite segment is about the pilot Grigory Zemlyanikin who named his airplane after his ex lover Yulia, and who was waiting for her every year under the chimes on the Red Square.

Of course “The Irony of fate” is still the most “New Year” film, but it is too complicated for modern people — only our parents now can truly understand this film. I think that I’d recommend my American friend to watch all parts of“Yolki”, because these films are full of cultural things of today’s Russia, jokes and special places and the way of behaviour of typical Russians.
